The Michelin HydroEdge with Green X radial is a premium Passenger All-Season energy-efficient tire developed to meet the needs of the drivers of family coupes, sedans and minivans looking for great tread life, fuel efficiency and all-weather traction. The HydroEdge with Green X was designed to combine long tread wear and low rolling resistance with superb hydroplaning resistance and year-round traction, even in light snow. Featuring Michelin’s Energysaver Construction technology, the HydroEdge with Green X radial features a low-rolling resistance silica-based tread compound molded into a directional tread design to blend dry and wet road traction with long wear. Dual circumferential center grooves and high-angle HydroChutes combine to pump water from under the tire's footprint to enhance hydroplaning resistance and wet traction. The tire’s internal structure includes a polyester cord body and twin steel belts to deliver strength and durability along with a smooth ride.

The tires I replaced where the Goodyear Assurance Triple Tred which I had on my truck since the summer of 05 and they had 92,000 miles on them. They where a great tire, but the reason I picked the Michelin Hydroedge Tires over the Goodyear Assurance Triple Tred was to do an comparison between the two tires and to see if the reputation of the tire measures up to the ratings given in this survey and by people who own them which I know personally. I am expecting to get at least the same miles or more as I did with the Goodyear?s plus a lot more performance from the tire because they are Michelins and like I said already, on what people have said to me and the ratings given in this survey. Note; if I had one complaint with the Goodyear?s they were a little bit noisy. Even though I?ve own the Michelin hydroedges tires for short period of time with only 7,500 miles on them, there seems to be very little road noise coming from these tires so far. I will write again when I reach the half way point to give my opinion.
