The Michelin Energy MXV4 S8 is an All-Season Grand Touring tire designed for sports sedans and sports coupes. Energy MXV4 S8 tires meet Michelin's Green X standard* for low rolling resistance that confirms the tire's contribution to reducing vehicle fuel consumption and emissions of CO2 gases. The Energy MXV4 S8 was developed to blend looks and handling with low noise and good ride comfort, and is tuned to match the needs of sporty coupes and sedans by providing year-round traction, even in light snow. The Energy MXV4 S8 features a symmetric independent block tread design to enhance foul weather traction. It incorporates offset shoulder and diagonal intermediate blocks that are designed to "flow" through the contact patch for a quiet ride. The tire's internal structure features a rounded casing shape to provide predictable handling, and has been optimized to equalize the tire's footprint pressure to extend its tread life. Michelin's BAZ Banded At Zero degree spiral-wrapped polyamide cord reinforces the Energy MXV4 S8 radial's twin steel belts to stabilize the tread area enhancing treadwear, handling and high-speed capability. *The application of the Green X symbol is determined by laboratory testing on a model-by-model, size-by-size basis. This Michilen Energy Tire came with my 2005 Lexus... now after 5 years and 34,000, it's time to buy a new pair... I live in NYC, and I take this car in the snow, I have an Acadia front wheel drive and I use the Lexus. It could be because the intelligent all wheel drive, but in the rain i cannt make these tires squeal no matter whit i do. It's like glued to the pavment. In the snow, acceleration is awsome, though stoping is not as good, but still good. The ride is super smooth, though I noticed the ride a little rougher now that the tread is low. Could be from worn shocks and lower tire tread height. Anyway, over all, I would not even consider buying anything else. I had such a great experience. I used to be a Goodyear fan and Firestone fan, but i bought the Michelin Pilots for my Chevy Z28 and I have concluded that Michilen can now make a good tire.
